Training for my first 10K race

Since starting on my fitness journey a few months ago, I’m really enjoying running. I’m enjoying running so much that I want to do a half marathon this year ๐Ÿ™‚

To begin working up to my half marathon, I signed up for my first ever road race. It’s a 10K race, which is a distance that I’ve only ever completed twice. I was happy with my run last Saturday, where I did 10km in under 7 minutes per km – 6:59 to be exact! I’m recording this time here because this is my baseline.

The Brooks run that I signed up for is on 3 March. Between now and then I’m aiming to improve my pace to 6 minutes per km.

Happy running!
