2011: Year in Review

It’s time for another review of the past year! So many awesome things happened, and I want to record them so I can look back to see how far I’ve come.

First, some perspective. 2010 was a great year. Can you believe that 2011 was even greater? God has blessed me so richly. Here are the details.

Family

My family is the most important thing in my life. Everything I do is for little Zack and Pei Chyi.

Pei Chyi and I celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary in March. This was followed a few weeks later with Zack’s 1st birthday. Zack’s birthday also marks a successful 1st year as parents. This is a Big Deal for me because there is no definitive manual on being a parent. I’m super glad that I didn’t screw this up. Read More »

I’ve been re-living the moments up to Zack’s birth for the past 2 days.

2010: Year In Review

2010 is drawing to a close. It’s been a great year for me. Yep, it was that awesome. To continue on from last year, I present a review of my 2010.

Personal Outlook

I think 2010 was the year I really discovered myself. I feel that more than ever, I have clarity about what I want out of life. Priorities have changed, and I’m not the same person I was 2-3 years ago.

I am not discontented. I am not chasing for ‘more’. I am not worried about things that don’t matter in the big picture.

I am now more purposeful. I am raring to go. I am different. I am grateful. I am happy. Read More »

Father's Day: This Time Was Different

Peaceful

This year’s Father’s Day was extra special. It was the first time I celebrated Father’s Day as a son and as a new father. With only 3 months of experience I’m not the most experienced dad.

My experience to date has mainly been cradling baby to sleep at all hours of the day, pulling boogers out of baby Zack’s little nose (don’t ask), baby baths and poop disasters. It’s been quite a ride and can be pretty exhausting. For example, my Father’s Day was met with baby Zack waking up 3 times at night.

Despite the lack of beauty sleep, fatherhood has been wonderful. Every time I look at baby Zack peacefully sound asleep my heart just melts.

I’m looking forward to many more happy Father’s Days to come.

2009: Year In Review

I figured I should really start doing yearly summaries since I blog irregularly. Hence, I present to you David Wang’s year in review, 2009 edition.

Career

I started off 2009 as the Web Analytics and Social Media Manager for AGENDA. We had moved to our new office in Solaris Mont Kiara and my commute had grown longer. It was a good job that helped me gain the experience I needed to springboard my own business.

David's Dip

In June, I took Buzzmedia out of hibernation and started working full time on it again. This time, it felt like Buzzmedia 2.0 because I think I finally managed to get my business on the right track. Many people asked why I was leaving my job in the middle of a global recession, so I wrote down my answers why. Read More »
